• Earn your Trident everyday

United States Navy SEAL

In times of war or uncertainty there is a special breed of warrior ready to answer our Nation’s call. A common man with uncommon desire to succeed.

Forged by adversity, he stands alongside America’s finest special operations forces to serve his country, the American people, and protect their way of life.

I am that man.

My Trident is a symbol of honor and heritage. Bestowed upon me by the heroes that have gone before, it embodies the trust of those I have sworn to protect. By wearing the Trident I accept the responsibility of my chosen profession and way of life. It is a privilege that I must earn every day.

My loyalty to Country and Team is beyond reproach. I humbly serve as a guardian to my fellow Americans always ready to defend those who are unable to defend themselves. I do not advertise the nature of my work, nor seek recognition for my actions. I voluntarily accept the inherent hazards of my profession, placing the welfare and security of others before my own.

I serve with honor on and off the battlefield. The ability to control my emotions and my actions, regardless of circumstance, sets me apart from other men.

Uncompromising integrity is my standard. My character and honor are steadfast. My word is my bond.

We expect to lead and be led. In the absence of orders I will take charge, lead my teammates and accomplish the mission. I lead by example in all situations.

I will never quit. I persevere and thrive on adversity. My Nation expects me to be physically harder and mentally stronger than my enemies. If knocked down, I will get back up, every time. I will draw on every remaining ounce of strength to protect my teammates and to accomplish our mission. I am never out of the fight.

We demand discipline. We expect innovation. The lives of my teammates and the success of our mission depend on me - my technical skill, tactical proficiency, and attention to detail. My training is never complete.

We train for war and fight to win. I stand ready to bring the full spectrum of combat power to bear in order to achieve my mission and the goals established by my country. The execution of my duties will be swift and violent when required yet guided by the very principles that I serve to defend.

Brave men have fought and died building the proud tradition and feared reputation that I am bound to uphold. In the worst of conditions, the legacy of my teammates steadies my resolve and silently guides my every deed. I will not fail.

go to this link. for more photos. The Green Giant we're wondering about is in the center of this photo. This is one of seven and is the only one that has the rust colored foliage in the middle. This is the day before we poured concrete a couple of days ago.

Put Your BF Goodrich KM Spare Tire To Good Use

There's a good chance your BF Goodrich KM tires won't go flat. They are too tough. Put the spare to good use and use it to transport stuff. I couldn't fit this 48" diameter Sonotube in my Jeep,... so I hung it off the spare. Worked great!

Travel To Mexico - Vacation In Mexico

Before you travel to Mexico you will want to read two important websites to protect yourself. Read this from the U.S. Department of State about Mexico criminal penalties/torture and this site titled How Mexico treats illegal aliens .

The Ultimate Burger - Best Burger Recipe

Trust me on this one. Best burger ever. I like to put the burger on a toasted onion bun and melt some swiss on it. Mix all these ingredients together and grill it.
  1. Mix 1.25 lbs. of lean ground beef
  2. 1/2 cup of uncooked Quaker Quick Oats
  3. 1/4 cup of A1 Steak Sauce
  4. One egg
  5. 1/2 of an onion of your choice. Chop it fine.
  6. Chop a 1/2 cup of baby spinach.

Jeep JK Headlight Replacement 920H4 from IPF

No sense in me posting photos because the photos at this link are perfect. I just installed mine tonight and I can tell you that the bright white light you see in the photo is exactly what it looks like. I haven't personally compared these to other JK headlight replacements, but I am very pleased with the IPF 920H4 replacements so far. The only place that sells them right now is Northridge4x4.

Netflix Long Waits

I'm tired of all the waiting for movies. This has been going on for a long time and there are lots of other dissatisfied customers. Short waits, long waits, very long waits. I've waited a couple of months for some new releases while they send me old releases that I have on my list at the end of my queue. I'm contacting Netflix Public Relations to see if they respond and have an explanation of why I have "eight" movies that are in some sort of "wait" status. See the screen capture below that shows the movies I'm currently waiting on. I'm going to include a link to this blog and I'll report back with their answer. I think they need to purchase more DVD's.

Here's the exact message I'm sending them.
"Many of your customers are dissatisfied with the many types of waits on their DVD's. Why is this problem so prevalent and what are you planning to do about it? The grocery store carries a better selection of movies that are actually available to rent, but it's not as convenient for me.
You don't need my account info to figure this out. Here's a link that shows the eight movies I'm currently waiting on. http://nofreerides.blogspot.com/2010/01/netflix-long-waits.html"
